Refund policy

At SA Biltong, we take pride in delivering high-quality, freshly prepared biltong and related products. Due to the nature of our products, certain conditions apply to returns and refunds.

 

1. Perishable Food Products

Our products are perishable food items. For health, safety, and hygiene reasons, we do not accept returns or exchanges on food products once they have been delivered, unless the product is defective or incorrect.

This policy is in line with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) of South Africa.

 

2. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Orders

If you receive an order that is:

  • Incorrect
  • Damaged during delivery
  • Spoiled or unfit for consumption on arrival

please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

  • The product
  • The packaging
  • The delivery label (if applicable)

Once reviewed, we will offer one of the following remedies, at our discretion:

  • A replacement product
  • A refund
  • A store credit

3. Change of Mind

Due to the perishable nature of our products, we cannot accept returns or refunds for change-of-mind purchases, including:

  • Ordering the wrong product
  • Ordering too much
  • Preference changes (taste, dryness, flavour)

 

4. Delivery Issues

If your order is delayed or lost in transit, please contact us as soon as possible. We will work with the courier to resolve the issue and determine the appropriate outcome.SA Biltong is not responsible for delays caused by:

  • Incorrect delivery information provided by the customer
  • Courier delays beyond our control

 

5. Refund Processing

If a refund is approved:

  • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method
  • Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to reflect, depending on your bank.
